Just a preview thingy of a work in progress today. It's mainly an excuse to practice coloring flesh tones. And purple hair.
He looks like expression guy from last week. I can draw different-looking people! Really!
On another note, this animated short had me torn between awe and, as I am an animation student, envy. Link!
I saw the word 'école' in there somewhere, which means 'school,' so I think it's a student film. If so, goddamn.

Expressions
Oh yeah... I have a blog.
Here's some sketches to make this page feel less neglected until I finish something more polished.
I love drawing cartoony expressions. In cartoons, the anatomy and proportions of the face depend on the expression, not the other way around. Realism and anatomy are not strengths of mine, so I like being able to distort the structure of the face to achieve the desired effect rather than trying to render it perfectly.
I've never taken life drawing classes other than the two days we had with a model in my animation class, so I hope to develop this skill much further in the future.
I guess I forgot to vaguely hint that there is a shirt on middle-left-column guy. He is dismayed.
